The power of imagination makes us infinite. – John Muir
Moving from place to place, I always felt I had no home. I was born in China and moved to Canada when I was young. In my undergraduate degree at OCAD University, I studied in Florence, Italy and since have travelled to 30+ countries. Currently, I live in London, UK to study MA Interaction Design at UAL but have finally found that home will always be in Toronto, Canada.
Through my artwork, I want to bring awareness to the harmony of untouched land; I believe that humans have an innate relationship with nature and with each other. That’s why the family and friends in my life are the most important.
After years of working in graphic design, I have grown to understand that design means way more than visuals. It’s about practicality and well-designed products or services should first of all simplify life and that’s why I’m studying interaction design.
Based in Toronto, Canada, I started a web application platform called Thoughtfile for mental health therapists to engage with their clients effectively in-between sessions. I look for creative ways to solve problems in everyday life.
While I’m not painting or designing, I’m usually planning my next trip, at the dance studio, snowboarding, and longboarding.
